Amanda Shulba Hello! My name is Amanda Shulba and I am a dedicated and passionate personal trainer. My journey in the fitness industry began several years ago when I discovered my love for helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals. Fitness has always been a significant part of my life. Growing up on a farm, I developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for physical labor, which laid the foundation for my journey as a personal trainer. From a young age, I participated in soccer and outdoor activities, fueling my fascination with the human body and its potential for strength and transformation. This passion led me to pursue a career as a personal trainer, where I could make a positive impact on people's lives. My fitness career began with GoodLife Fitness. I had the incredible opportunity to inspire and guide individuals on their fitness journeys within a dynamic and supportive environment. From leading high-energy group classes to providing one-on-one training sessions, I thrived on helping clients push their limits, achieve their goals, and witness their personal transformations. My time at GoodLife Fitness allowed me to cultivate a strong passion for empowering others and fostering a sense of community through the power of fitness. After 17 years in Nova Scotia as a fitness professional, I uprooted my life and career working as a personal trainer in the vibrant Caribbean in Providenciales Turks and Caicos Islands, I had the privilege of combining my passion for fitness with the breathtaking beauty of tropical landscapes. Guiding clients through workouts and helping them embrace an active lifestyle against the backdrop of crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches was truly a dream come true. I believe that fitness is not just about physical strength; it encompasses mental and emotional well- being as well. Luke Clarke Hello! My name is Luke Clarke, I am a multiple time Jiu Jitsu medalist in the Submission Arts Atlantic League, an amateur mixed martial arts fighter trained in Muay Thai, Boxing, Wrestling, and Jiu Jitsu .. and recently back from 7 weeks training at the prestigious Tiger Muay Thai gym in Phuket, Thailand as well as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces. My journey into the fitness industry began years ago as a youth heavily involved in sports and recreation. After enjoying a successful “school career” and graduating from High School I focused all my time and energy into training martial arts, learning and working on creating a strong unbreakable mind, as well as my diet and physique. My military service taught me discipline which is one the most key features to a strong and healthy body and mind, and i'm here not just to simply help you do an extra push up or lose a few pounds, I will change the life of anyone willing to subscribe and put in the work with me to becoming an overall better person mentally, physically and spiritually. TRAINING IS LEARNING When I'm not training, well, I’m training! Working on my own technique and performances across multiple disciplines or training others to reach their own goals using a strong mental fortitude and proven SAFE training techniques to push yourself to either greatness, or simply to achieve your short term goals in a fun, and positive environment. I can push you to uncomfortable limits to unlock your greatness, or work at your pace to achieve your results. My success is your success period, we all win while getting in shape and breaking through the invisible glass ceiling and achieving new heights and surpassing even our wildest fitness goals. Walk the Walk I, like most of my incredible peers in the industry, practise what I preach, by prioritising my own health and nutrition I am able to showcase that self care practices do work with the right mindset, time, and energy. Joe MacDonald I am an ISSA certified personal trainer and am privileged to be given the opportunity to take on new clients to train here at the Locker Room Health and Fitness Club! From the time I was 5 years old until my graduating year in high school, I was involved in several sports including baseball, rugby, football, and hockey. Given my natural athletic abilities and extreme dedication towards my sports endeavours, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to play at a provincial level for both hockey and rugby. As a result of being an athlete throughout my childhood, I had always gravitated towards physical activity and competition. Once my time as an athlete came to an end, I shifted my focus to bodybuilding and began following a regimented workout and diet plan. After over six years of training and learning as much about the sport of bodybuilding as possible, I feel confident to now pass my knowledge on to individuals looking to embark on their fitness journey or who are looking to take their training to the next level. In addition to the knowledge I’ve gained from personal experience and through trial-and-error, I have also learned from many reputable sources such as online coaches and articles that delve deeper into the science of training. With the guidance and information, they’ve provided me, I’ve been able to keep up with the latest and most effective training methods science has to offer.
